Sergio Garcia secured his first European Tour win since 2005 with victory in the CASTELLÓ MASTERS Costa Azahar on the course he played as a boy. The 28 year old, hosting the inaugural event at the Club de Campo del Mediterráneo, closed with a four under par 67 to finish three shots ahead of Sweden's Peter Hedblom. The win takes Garcia to a career high postion in the Official World Golf Ranking of 3rd, an improvement of 2 positions.

Cameron Beckman won the Frys.com Open at the second extra hole after a final-round 63 forced a play-off with overnight leader Kevin Sutherland. Beckman made up three strokes on Sutherland at Grayhawk Golf Club in Arizona to finish tied on 18 under for the tournament. Beckman leaps 234 places to World Number 213 while Sutherland regains a place in the World Top 50 in 45th.

This week's other winners were Azuma Yano at the Bridgestone Open on the Japan Golf Tour, D.A. Points at the Miccosukee Championship on the Nationwide Tour, David Gleeson at the Macau Open on the Asian Tour and Estanislao Goya at the Apulia San Domenico Grand Final on the European Challenge Tour.
