Tiger Woods picked up his 69th PGA Tour victory as he won the Buick Open for a third time in Michigan. The world number one turned a one-shot 54-hole lead into a three-stroke victory over Roland Thatcher, John Senden and Greg Chalmers at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club in Grand Blanc. It gave him his fourth title of the year and takes his Official World Golf Ranking Points average to 11.25.

Sweden's Oskar Henningsson made up a three shot deficit to overnight leader Steve Webster to win his first European Tour title at the Moravia Silesia Open. The Czech Republic proved a happy hunting ground for Henningsson who shot a final round 67 to win by two shots from English duo Steve Webster and Sam Little. The win sends Henningsson up 302 places on the ranking to 211 with a ranking points average of 0.885.

Third round leader Ryo Ishikawa won his second title of the season with a five under par final round at the Sun Chlorella Classic. The seventeen year old biridied the eighteenth hole to edge out Australian Brendan Jones by a single stroke at the Otaru Country Club. The victory sees Ishikawa rise twenty-eight places in the rankings to 57 with a ranking points average of 2.040.

Darren Beck picked up his maiden Asian Tour title this week with a playoff victory in the Brunei Open. The 32 year old Australian triumphed over Gaganjeet Bhullar and veteran Boonchu Ruangkit by holing a ten foot birdie putt at the thrid playoff hole. The win sends Beck up 167 places in the Offical World Golf Rankings to 262 with a points average of 0.712.

Derek Lamely became the eight first time winner of the year on the Nationwide Tour with a two hole playoff victory over Rickie Fowler at the Children's Hospital Invitational. With the win Lamely has risen 570 places to 408 on the Official World Golf Rankings with a ranking points average of 0.398.

Jamie Mcleary trailed by one heading into Sunday but a final round 68 saw him triumph by two strokes over Italian Edoardo Molinari at the Scottish Hydro Challenge. The Scot went into the tournament ranked 830 in the Official World Golf Rankings but leaves having risen to 418 with a ranking points average of 0.387.
