Web.com - Web.com Tour Championship
Emiliano Grillo and Chez Reavie were deadlocked at 13-under heading to the 72nd hole of the Web.com Tour Championship. Both hit the par-4 finishing hole in regulation with Grillo set to putt first. The 23-year-old from Resistencia, Argentina drained a 25-footer for birdie to complete a final-round 69. Reavie stepped up, missed his bid to send the tournament into extra holes and tapped in for par making Grillo the second-youngest winner in Tour Championship history.
“I knew that I needed to win,” said Grillo of his clutch effort. “I gave my best out there, and I think the best thing I did all day was making that putt on 18.”
Grillo finished at 14-under 266 for his first Tour victory. The $180,000 first-place check moved him to No. 4 in the final priority ranking.
“It's great,” said Grillo, who is set to start his quest for a FedExCup in at the Frys.com Open in California in a little more than a week when the PGA TOUR’s 2015-16 wraparound season kicks off. “It's been a great week. I'm on the PGA TOUR and it feels great.” Grillo moves from 95th to World No. 71.
European Tour – Alfred Dunhill Links Championship
Thorbjørn Olesen held his nerve to win the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and claim his third European Tour title moving from 155th to World No 73.
The Dane came second at this event in 2012 and went one better on Sunday, posting a one under par 71 to finish the week on 18 under par, two shots clear of American duo Brooks Koepka and Chris Stroud.
Englishman Chris Wood closed with a bogey free 65 to finish a shot further back alongside Benjamin Hebert, Bernd Wiesberger, Joakim Lagergren and Kiradech Aphibarnrat.
Olesen began his final round with a three shot lead over the chasing pack, but followed a birdie from eight feet on the first with a double bogey on the second and a bogey at the next to surrender the outright lead.
He bounced back in style, picking up shots at the fourth and fifth holes to return to the top of the leaderboard.
After safely parring the next nine holes, Olesen extended his advantage to two strokes with a brilliant birdie from 50 feet at the 15th.
And Olesen parred his way home to win his first tournament since last year's ISPS HANDA Perth International.
Olesen, who spent three months on the sidelines following hand surgery earlier this year, was delighted to win at St Andrews.

PGA Tour China – Yulongwan Yunnan Open
Starting on the seventh hole of the final round of the Yulongwan Yunnan Open, New Zealand’s Josh Geary and Thailand’s Gunn Charoenkul matched each other score for score. Bogeys on No. 7, pars on No. 8, pars on No. 9. You get the picture. It remained this way, each player posting the same score until the par-5 16th hole when Geary finally broke free from Charoenkul, making an eagle to Charoenkul’s birdie. That was all Geary needed to win his third tournament of the season, defeating Charoenkul by a stroke. Australia’s Bryden Macpherson and New Zealand’s Daniel Pearce tied for third, six shots behind.
On the decisive 16th, Geary calmly rolled in a nine-foot eagle putt, his second dramatic eagle of the week (he made a hole-in-one in the first round). That turned out to be all Geary needed as both players bogeyed No. 17 and parred 18.
“I hit a great putt. It was really slippery down there. I managed to sneak it in. Then Gunn and I halved the last two holes,” said Geary, who earlier this year won the Buick Open and the Lanhai Open.

Walking up 18 was a dream - one of the best feelings I've ever had on a golf course and I will keep that moment forever
“It’s an unbelievable feeling,” he said. “I’ve been waiting so long for this moment and to have a victory here in Italy, in Rome, is just a dream come true, a fantastic moment.
PGA Tour of Australasia - South Pacific Open Championship
New South Welshman James Nitties has won the South Pacific Open Championship following a tight final round with Matthew Millar.
James NittiesStarting the day with a two shot lead, Nitties quickly saw that disappear spending the day battling it out with his playing partner Millar.
"I'm yery happy, it was an awesome week. I really played great golf all week; today I probably played my best golf of all four days," said Nitties who had 2-under 69 in the final round.
"It was a great tussle between me and Matty (Millar); he is an awesome player, never makes any mistakes."
However, a very unlucky situation unfolded for Millar on the par-4 15th when his ball became stuck in a palm tree causing him to take an unplayable which lead to a double bogey.
Nitties then went on to cruise to a comfortable six shot victory with a tournament total of 16-under 268.
"He got a really bad break on the 15th hole; his ball got caught up a tree. You never want to see that," added Nitties.
"It was unfortunate for him but I was pretty proud of myself for the way I played the last four holes, in the wind, very solid."
"It was close all day, the six shots difference, I think, was a bit of wind going out of his (Millar's) sails the last couple of holes, it was very tight all day."

He carded a closing three-under par 69 to edge out Zimbabwe’s Mark Williams, with Zander Lombard and overnight leader Bryce Bibby in a share of third place a further shot back.
“I was glad to have two putts in hand to give me the win,” Basson joked with friends afterwards, although his first attempt from 10 feet on the 18th went very close, and he was left with a tap-in for the win.
“I wasn’t at all relaxed going down the stretch,” he said. “I started the day very nervous on the first three holes, and then I kind of got into the groove. But for the last three holes, the nerves came back.”

Nordic Golf League - Race to Himmerland
Sweden’s Christofer Blomstrand came from behind and snatched victory at the ECCO Tour Finals, Race to Himmerland. With a phantom round eight under par on the European Tour field, he referred Anders Schmidt Hansen, Nicholas Nissen and Norwegian Eirik Tage Johansen for second place.
There was almost doomed summer of Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort on Saturday's final round of Race to Himmerland. Christofer Blomstrands round in 65 strokes, eight under par, was still quite impressive the favorable conditions notwithstanding.
“It was really fun today. I was already eight under par after 13 holes, and although I did not know exactly what it gave to, I could feel that I began to be a little careful. I joined with five pars, and luckily it was enough, says a happy Blomstrand after the round”.
“I am so happy. It's really big for me here. And a fantastic tournament to win”.
