Rickie Fowler Claims his 6th PGA Tour Win at Rocket Mortgage Classic moving back into the Top 25 of the Official World Golf Ranking
News for the 9 Eligible Official World Golf Ranking Tournaments
PGA Tour - Rocket Mortgage Classic
Fowler looked up to the sky as the 12-foot putt rolled into the right side of the cup. He let out a wry smile. His comeback was complete with that birdie on the first hole of a three-man playoff. He’d won his sixth PGA TOUR title and revitalized his career. Fowler had seen promising signs all season but this was the culmination of all the hard work, the close calls and the near-misses.
With his first win since 2019, Fowler moved to eighth in the FedEx Cup and moves back Into the top 25 in the Official World Golf Ranking. This was his eighth top-10 of the season, his most in six years.
His final reaction on the 18th green was fitting for Fowler. For as flashy as he looks at times, donned in his Sunday Oklahoma State orange, his preferred nature is understated. The sigh of relief that he let out as he holed the putt is about as expressive as he will get on the course.
From the lowest of lows last summer when he fell outside the top 150 to Sunday’s high at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, Fowler remained the same: even keeled and magnanimous. Through the good but mostly bad over the last two years – Fowler was unchanged.
“I think some people when they go through (struggles), you kind of become like a shell of yourself and you go through maybe some mental torture when you're playing golf,” said Max Homa, who has endured his share of adversity on the golf course. “He's just stayed the same Rickie and I think that helps, because then once your game comes back, you're still comfortable.”

DP World Tour - Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo
Daniel Hillier produced a barnstorming finish to claim his maiden DP World Tour title at the 2023 Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo. After reaching the turn in 35 courtesies of two birdies and a single bogey on the front nine, European Challenge Tour graduate Hillier finished his round with a flourish, going eagle-birdie-eagle from the 15th to open up a two-shot lead.
The New Zealander suffered a late scare when he cleared the green at the tricky 18th, but he managed to save par there with a nerveless eight-foot putt to finish the tournament on ten under par. With the final group several holes behind him, Hillier had to wait around an hour before finally being able to celebrate a stunning two-shot victory.
American Gunner Wiebe and Englishman Oliver Wilson were Hillier's nearest challengers on eight under, with the trio booking their spots at the 151st Open at Royal Liverpool Golf Club. Hillier, who also recorded recent top-five finishes at the KLM Open and BMW International Open, was thrilled to enter the winner's circle.
He said: "I'm over the moon and a bit lost for words. Those last few holes are going to take a while to process, I think.

Korn Ferry Tour - Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS
Paul Barjon wins Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS finishing with a total score of 26-under at Panther Creek CC, one clear of Jackson Suber. Sometimes it can be hard to get a read on Paul Barjon, whether it’s smooth sailing or a rough go, the Frenchman maintains a pleasant disposition, confident that the next day will be a good one. As he matter-of-factly assessed his play early in the week at the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, it could be surmised he was well positioned on the Points List, not mired in a distant 147th, his career very much in jeopardy at the time.
But then again, the better days were very much around the corner. Barjon, 30, polished off rounds of 65-62-66-65 at Panther Creek Country Club, good for a one-stroke victory over Jackson Suber at 26-under 258, his second career Korn Ferry Tour title.
His early-week demeanour proved prescient, after all. “I feel like every week's a new week,” Barjon said. “Just try to work hard and make it happen if you can … 156 guys have a chance to win, so might as well be that guy.
“I told my caddie at the beginning of the day, I was like, well, that's what we practice for. Like, you don't want to come in the day five, six shots behind. You want to be ahead and try to get the trophy.”

Japan Golf Tour - Shigeo Nagashima INVITATIONAL Sega Sammy Cup
South Africa's Jbe Kruger won the Shigeo Nagashima INVITATIONAL Sega Sammy Cup by three shots, ending his four-year wait for a second JGTO title. The 37-year-old, who last claimed a trophy at the 2019 Shinhan Donghae Open, carded a bogey-free five-under-par 67 at North Country Golf Club on Sunday to secure the victory.
Kruger began the final round with a three-shot lead over playing partners Naoyuki Kataoka and Shintaro Kobayashi, but his advantage diminished after he could only manage a birdie in the opening six holes. Kataoka briefly tied for the lead by gaining four strokes over the same number of holes, but he was unable to make further progress on the back nine, settling for a matching 67 and a joint second-place finish.
However, Kruger maintained his composure, adding four more birdies on holes nine, 13, 15, and 17 to pull ahead of the chasing pack and seal the victory with a total score of 23-under-par 265. Australia's Anthony Quayle made a strong push on the final day, concluding the week with an impressive 64, but ultimately fell three shots short.
It was a memorable day for Kruger, who had his wife and caddie, Denise, to share in the joy.
"It feels like many years ago since I've been here standing here speaking to every one of you (addressing the press). It's an absolute privilege," said Kruger.
"There were so many good young players pushing me all the way until the last three to four holes. I had to stay focused all day and couldn't afford to make any mistakes.
"I love it here in Hokkaido. I always enjoy courses with large greens. The conditions are excellent, and the climate is perfect—not too warm and not too cold."

Challenge Tour - Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge
Darren Fichardt is a winner on the European Challenge Tour for the first time after producing an outstanding finish to claim the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge title at Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil. The South African, a five-time winner on the DP World Tour, saved his best golf of the week for the back nine on Sunday, signing for a five under par round of 67 and a 15 under par total, two strokes ahead of Oliver Farr who finished in solo second on 13 under par.
The 48-year-old battled for the lead with Farr all day before a three-shot swing around the turn and an eagle at the par five 14th saw him take the lead, and he was delighted to get over the line.
“I haven’t won in a few years now and to come out here and win on such a beautiful, challenging golf course is awesome,” he said. “I’ve been working hard and have been playing pretty well but I’ve also been experimenting a lot.
“I was surprisingly very calm. I thought I could ease round in two under par today which I thought might get the job done, but I had to dig deep and I made a few really crucial putts. I’m very proud of myself.”

PGA Tour Latinoamerica - Bupa Tour Championship
Chandler Blanchet survived a three-man playoff to win the Bupa Tour Championship Sunday at PGA Riviera Maya. The win secured a larger jackpot, as the 28-year old from Jacksonville Beach, Florida, also claimed the Totalplay Cup trophy for 2022-23 PGA TOUR Latinoamérica Player of the Year honors. He’ll be exempt into every open Korn Ferry Tour tournament in 2024.
On his way to becoming the only two-time winner this PGA TOUR Latinoamérica season, Blanchet carded a final-round, 2-under 70 to battle his way into a tie for first with Justin Doeden of Prior Lake, Minnesota, and Jeremy Gandon of France. A par on the third playoff hole was good enough for him to walk away as the biggest winner of the year.
Blanchet, Doeden and Gandon finished regulation tied at 6-under 282, one shot ahead of Mexico’s Alvaro Ortiz, who carded three bogeys on the back nine to drop the three-shot lead he held with nine holes to play. New Zealand’s Harry Hillier joined Ortiz in the tie for fourth, at 5-under.
“An incredible day! You couldn’t have dreamed it up any better,” said Blanchet after his thrilling victory, his third as a PGA TOUR Latinoamérica player.

PGA Tour Canada - ATB Classic
Davis Lamb had to Monday qualify just to get into the field for this week’s ATB Classic. He had no idea that he was about to make history.
Lamb, of Bethesda, Maryland, shot a 2-under 70 Sunday to finish at 18-under 270 at Northern Bear Golf Course and become the first Monday qualifier to win on PGA TOUR Canada. After his first PGA TOUR-sanctioned win, Lamb is now exempt for the remainder of the season.
“It’s kind of surreal to be standing here right now,” Lamb said. “My game was in a good spot. I was ready to come up here and compete. But to start Monday morning, teeing off with kind of a play-well-or-go-home scenario, and to make it all the way to Sunday and be standing here … It’s pretty surreal.”
The Notre Dame graduate overcame two double bogeys on the front nine during a cool, windy day to beat Eric McCardle of Oak Harbor, Washington—another Monday qualifier—by two shots and Nicolo Galletti of Berkeley, California, by three.
“Today is about the hardest I’ve ever had to work on the golf course, so for it to pay off the way it did, it feels amazing,” Lamb said.
Lamb also moved into a tie for second place on the Fortinet Cup points list, 42 points behind leader Étienne Papineau. Also moving into the Top 1000 in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time.

Alps Tour Golf - Aravell Golf Open by Creand
Italy’s Manfredi Manica captures his 1st professional win at the 2023 Aravell Golf Open by Creand by 1 stroke. He shot a bogey-free final round of 5 under-par, 66 with 4 birdies in his last 6 hole for a three-day total at 15 under-par. He is 27 years old, turned professional at the end of 2021 and currently represents Golf Nazionale. After he sealed his 1st win, Manica was very emotional:
“Today is a very emotional day, especially my back nine. I believe the key was to stay patient. I struggled with my putting on the first few holes but hit some great shots. Paul was playing great and I didn’t think I had a chance. On the 15thhole when I saw Paul struggled I managed to birdie and started to believe I had a chance. I went on to birdie 16 and 17 and tried to par 18th and see what happened.” When asked about what this win means to him, he added: “This obviously means the world to me. It’s a short season so every tournament is important this season and after this win the rest will be even more important as I now want to be in the top 5 at the end of the season.”
