DP World Tour – Cazoo Open de France
Ryo Hisatsune became just the third Japanese winner in DP World Tour history as a brilliant back nine of 30 saw him lift the trophy at the Cazoo Open de France. The 21-year-old entered the final day four shots off the lead and did not look a likely winner as he turned in level par at Le Golf National.
But three birdies in four holes to start the back nine put him in a share of the lead and he added two more at the difficult 15th and 17th to sign for a 66 and finish at 14 under, two shots clear of England's Jordan Smith and Dane Jeff Winther. Dane Rasmus Højgaard was then at 11 under, one clear of Austria's Lukas Nemecz and two ahead of home favourite Julien Brun, Japan's Kazuki Higa, South Korean Tom Kim and German Yannik Paul.
Hisatsune finished second at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship and added five more top tens before claiming this first win which moves him to 11th in the Race to Dubai Rankings in Partnership with Rolex and could put him inside the top 100 on the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time.
"It feels unreal," he said. "For me, I didn’t think I would win, but I just won! I’m feeling delighted, it’s my first win, I’m so happy. I fly back to Japan tomorrow. Maybe in business class, I don’t know!
"The front nine I did not play well, but the back nine I played very well. I think this was because I wanted to win.
"It’s been nothing like I thought (DP World Tour career so far). I only turned pro three years ago, first years playing in Japan, then on to the DP World Tour through Q School. Now I’m here with my first win in my pro career – it’s so amazing."

Korn Ferry Tour – Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship
The Book of Norman Xiong has a new chapter. Much like the preceding entry, this new chapter concludes with a dominant victory. Xiong’s latest win, though, comes with a special bonus: a PGA TOUR card. Playing in the final pairing of Sunday’s final round at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship, the 24-year-old Xiong made five birdies and one bogey en route to a 4-under 67 at The Ohio State University Golf Club’s Scarlet Course. Only two other players matched Xiong’s closing 67 Sunday (past champion Curtis Luck, who rallied to a three-way T2 via a 5-under 66, and Kaito Onishi, whose own 67 culminated in a T24 and a No. 100 finish on the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour Points List).
Xiong and final-round playing partner Chandler Phillips shared the 54-hole lead at 6-under par, but Xiong separated early and ran away with a four-stroke victory at the Scarlet Course, tying the season’s largest margin of victory.
The win catapulted Xiong from No. 59 to No. 12 on the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour Points List, making him the 16th player officially declared #TOURBound and assured of PGA TOUR membership for 2024.
“I’m just happy to play golf again,” Xiong said. “I think once I turned pro it became not just hitting it and seeing it and visualizing it. I’m just so happy to feel like myself again and be out there having fun on the course, staying in the present, and loving it again.”

Japan Golf Tour – Panasonic Open Golf Championship
Tomoharu Otsuki staged a comeback to clinch the Panasonic Open Golf Championship on Sunday, winning by three shots and securing the third title of his JGTO career. The 33-year-old closed with a bogey-free six-under-par 66 at the Onotoyo Golf Club in Hyogo, finishing with a winning total of 20-under-par 268.
Song Young-han of South Korea and Ren Yonezawa tied for second, carding 71 and 67 respectively, while Taiga Nagano, who held the penultimate round's joint lead with Song, ended a further shot back in fourth after shooting a 72. For Otsuki, the triumph served as sweet redemption, especially in light of the final-day meltdown that plagued him at last year's tournament.
During that event, Otsuki entered the final round tied for the lead but could only manage a disappointing 73. This result dropped him to a tied-10th finish, dashing his hopes of a back-to-back victory after winning the ANA Open the previous week.
"I wasn't in great form this season and was far from contending for victory. I felt that it would be good enough if I could finish well this week. I wasn't really thinking about winning before starting," said Otsuki, who missed only one cut but had just two top-10 finishes.
"I played really good golf today, something I hadn't managed in all the tournaments I played this year, so it boosted my confidence.
"While I did win this time, it made me realise again just how hard it is to win. Even coming to the final hole with a two-shot lead, it's always tough. Even after three wins, I think the fourth and fifth will be difficult."

Challenge Tour – Swiss Challenge
Adam Blomme held his nerve to secure a dramatic maiden Challenge Tour win on the first play-off hole in the Swiss Challenge at Golf Saint Apollinaire. The Swede saved his best round of the week for the final day, carding a six under par 66 to move to 17 under following rounds of 67-69-69.
The 27-year-old shared the lead with countryman Jesper Svensson, with the duo returning to the 18th tee to decide a winner. Blomme would go on to bogey the first play-off hole, but with Svensson finding trouble off the tee, it would be enough to clinch a first professional win.
“It's amazing to finally do it,” he said. “There are hundreds of players on the Challenge Tour that are playing for that one spot, that first place, and it's so satisfying to do it.
“I saw Jesper make a ton of birdies on the board all day, so I knew I had to make as many birdies as possible without getting too greedy.
“It was difficult playing against Jesper, honestly. It feels good to either win or lose against your best friend though. I hit a really bad tee shot, and then to see him struggle too on that play-off was tough. At the end we were both just trying to do our best.”

Asian Tour – Yeangder TPC
Thailand’s Poom Saksansin returned from the golfing wilderness today to win his first Asian Tour title in five years after claiming the US$750,000 Yeangder TPC in Chinese-Taipei. He closed with a six-under-par 66 to finish on 24-under for a fine three-stroke victory over defending champion Travis Smyth from Australia.
Smyth, bidding to become the first player to successfully retain the title, carded a 67, here at Linkou International Golf and Country Club in Taipei. India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar, who won this event in 2012, fired a 69 to settle for third place. His birdie on the last allowed him to finish one ahead of his countryman Rashid Khan (68), Chinese-Taipei’s Chan Shih-Chang (66), and Thailand’s Rattanon Wannasrichan (67).
After securing his fourth Asian Tour title, Poom said: “I don’t know what to say, happy, is all I can say. I’m so lucky today. I played well and had some good luck. Made some good decisions.”

Sunshine Tour – PGA Championship
Rupert Kaminski stayed calm and centred through a gruelling and testing final day of the SA PGA Championship at the St Francis Links on Saturday, holding off Matthew Spacey, who stayed in contact with him the whole day, to claim victory by one shot and make his first Sunshine Tour title a big one.
With extreme winds expected on Sunday, Saturday was a race against time to get the tournament finished with both the third and fourth rounds being played, with three-balls going off at the same time in shotgun starts.
Kaminski and Spacey both fired terrific six-under-par 66s in the third round in the morning to close to within one stroke of leader Peter Karmis (71) on nine-under-par.
In the afternoon, it became a two-horse race as Kaminski, who teed off on the first hole, and Spacey, who set off on the 18th, separated themselves from the field. Karmis could only manage a 77 in the final round, finishing on four-under and in a tie for third with Ryan van Velzen (72) and Adam Breen (73).
“It’s incredible, apart from moving into fifth on the Order of Merit, I’m also into all the big events for the rest of the season, the co-sanctioned tournaments at the end of the year.
“Hopefully this will be the start of really big things and it’s a nice step in that direction. And I love coming to the St Francis Links, there’s something about this place, I really enjoy the course and the people,” Kaminski said.

Nordic Golf League – Great Northern Challenge
There was excitement to the last when the Great Northern Challenge was settled Thursday afternoon. Just six strokes separated the top from the bottom before the last 18 holes, and 33 players had managed the cut and had to fight for victory.
The weather gods appeared from their milder side Thursday, offering plenty of sunshine and more than 20 degrees. In contrast, there was good wind, but nothing more than the 33 remaining players going the field in under 71 strokes on average.
However, it was Adam Andersson who walked away with the victory after finishing the tournament with 5 under total (73,71,67) winning by one shot. The victory sends Adam Andersson up to 12th place on the Road to Europe rankings, and compatriot Björn Åkesson jumped up in the list's first place. Peter Launer Bæk is still the best Dane, but he is now number four.

Professional Golf Tour of India – Vizag Open
Sri Lankan N Thangaraja had a dream final round of six-under 66, the day’s best score, to outplay all his rivals at the Rs. 1 crore worth inaugural Vizag Open and end an agonizing five-year long wait for his fourth TATA Steel PGTI title.
Colombo-based Thangaraja (71-73-70-66), who was overnight tied ninth and trailing the lead by a massive seven shots, literally pulled a rabbit out of the hat on Saturday by overcoming that huge deficit with a sensational and error-free last round to triumph by one stroke at a total of eight-under 280 at the pristine East Point Golf Club (EPGC) in Visakhapatnam.
Chandigarh’s Akshay Sharma (67-68-73-73) finished runner-up at seven-under 281 because of his fourth round of 73.
